My Story
Something I’ve always been passionate about is helping others reach their potential. This isn’t always in the way of “being the best you,” as much as realizing and growing into who God created and believed you could be from the moment you stepped into the world. Sometimes we just get lost, distracted, or injured along the way.
My story is probably not very different from many when it comes down to the consistencies of being human and living out life. I’ve experienced pain, loss, brokenness, excitement, as well as adventure, love, and everything in between. I’ve gone through these things sometimes poorly, and sometimes well. Every experience is something I learn from which encourages change or solidifies God’s truth in my life. In the same way that gold and silver are refined by fire, the Lord purifies our hearts by the tests and trials of life.

For me counseling has been a way of helping others actualize God’s plan for their life. Oftentimes this starts with healing and counsel. In my own life I have seen God use mental health struggles through my adolescence to bring me to where I am today. This ultimately led to life enriching experiences like starting a family, establishing this practice and completing the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail. I connect my life experience to a series of mountain ranges. Though we can't stay on the mountaintops forever, I believe we can learn to traverse the valleys and enjoy the hike.
