Mission
Virginia Valley Counseling & Restoration is dedicated to providing unique, competent and gentle counseling care. We aim to reflect Christ-like qualities as we join and walk alongside those who are lost or hurting in order to bring glory to God and healing to His people. In order to extend peace, we remain committed to providing a space and listening ear to facilitate rest, rejuvenation, and growth.
Exodus 17:11-12 affirms the reality that, sometimes, we all need to be uplifted:
“11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” (ESV)
The trained clinicians at VVC desire to be the support you need to feel steady with the rising and setting of the sun.
Story
In early 2022, we were both preparing for licensure and regularly thinking about what our own practices would look like. It did not take long after we started sharing our post-residency plans to see how similar our visions were. Neither of us expected to find someone with such similar passions, so it just made sense to create a counseling practice together, both recognizing this was God’s vision of so many years coming to fruition. Fast forward to October, 2022 and Virginia Valley Counseling & Restoration, LLC became a legally known practice, The Lord provided a building that really should not have been available, and in January, 2023 the practice opened to the community. We have both been extremely supported by our spouses, families and friends and look forward to what The Lord will do through this practice.
